3M vhb 4956 is a gray, 1.6mm thick, multi-purpose acrylic adhesive based on acrylic foam. It can replace rivets, welds and screws. This fast and easy-to-use permanent bonding method provides high strength and long-term durability.It provides the flexibility of the design, its viscoelasticity and powerful ability to combine to a variety of different surfaces.

Product applications and features:
Gray, 0.062 inch (1.6mm) multipurpose adhesive and integrated acrylic foam core provide a good balance of strength and adaptability. Eliminate drilling, grinding, dressing, tightening, welding and related cleaning.
Create a permanent seal to prevent water, moisture and more. Pressure-sensitive adhesive glued to the contact to provide instant processing strength.
Allows the use of thinner, lighter and different materials.

The 3M 4956 VHB tape uses a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides of an integrated foam core. The combination of strength, compliance and adhesion makes the series one of the most capable and comprehensive 3M VHB tapes. It is specially designed for good adhesion to metals, glass and other medium to high surface energy materials. Applications of the tape include enhanced gluing, sealing of polycarbonate lenses on LCD, painted control panel windows, and installation of vinyl wiring pipes and conduit channels.
